Our interpretation

A local festival, sincere love and an elixir with too many promises.

The opera

Nemorino loves Adina but does not know how to make himself heard. The arrival of Sergeant Belcore and travelling salesman Dulcamara turns the village into a game of jealousy, appearances and hope. Donizetti’s music brings comedy together with profoundly human emotion.
