On Friday 2 October at 8 pm, Òpera Popular de Barcelona will give its final performance of La traviata in 2026 at the Palau de la Música Catalana. One last chance this year to experience Violetta and Alfredo’s story, with Giuseppe Verdi’s music and a staging by Jaume Villanueva.

Soprano Aseel Massoud and tenor Facundo Muñoz will lead the cast as Violetta and Alfredo. Their remarkable stage chemistry brings this story of love, passion and sacrifice to life with intensity and a powerful connection.

This year they have already shared the Palau stage in La traviata and L’elisir d’amore. Their partnership will continue: on 6 May 2027, they will return to star in Donizetti’s opera at the Teatre Fortuny in Reus, as Adina and Nemorino.

After the 2 October performance, Òpera Popular’s La traviata will leave the stage until 2027. It will return to the Palau on 7 February and 24 April, starring Núria Vilà and Juan José Medina.

The performances of La traviata will be conducted by Josep Miquel Mindán, with the Orquestra de Cambra Terrassa 48 (OCT48), which, as always, will accompany Òpera Popular de Barcelona’s chorus, ballet and soloists.

Before then, one last evening with Aseel and Facundo awaits. Don’t miss this year’s final La traviata at the Palau!
