Opera Barcelona weekend: Carmen and La Traviata
This weekend was especially intense for Opera Popular de Barcelona.
On Friday we presented Carmen by Georges Bizet at the Palau de la Música Catalana. On Saturday we returned to the modernist stage with La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi.
Two performances that remind us why opera continues to move audiences generation after generation.
The Palau de la Música Catalana, one of the most iconic concert halls in Europe, once again proved to be the perfect setting for this repertoire.
But beyond the performances, what truly moved us were your reactions.
Opera Barcelona weekend: audience reviews
Many spectators shared their impressions after the performances.
Some of your words touched us deeply:
“An unforgettable experience… fantastic voices.”
“A magical evening… beautifully performed with wonderful costumes.”
“You slowly feel drawn into Violetta’s world.”
“A wonderful experience… emotion from beginning to end.”
Reading these reviews is the greatest reward for the artists and professionals who make each performance possible.
