Òpera Popular de Barcelona’s productions are born in the city, but their stage life continues in regional theatres and new venues.
The Magic Flute at Can Costa Centre Cultural
At 6 pm on 20 February 2027, The Magic Flute will be performed at Can Costa Centre Cultural in Taradell. Mozart’s opera combines theatrical play, transformation and an engaging interpretation for audiences of all ages.
The date joins a tour that has already taken the production to Reus’s Teatre Fortuny, Mataró’s Teatre Monumental and Sants Teatre in Barcelona.
Òpera Popular de Barcelona returns to Reus with L’elisir d’amore
At 8.30 pm on 6 May 2027, Òpera Popular de Barcelona returns to the Teatre Fortuny with L’elisir d’amore. The company is returning to the venue; Donizetti’s production will be performed there for the first time.
The company gave the Catalan première of The Magic Flute there on 10 October 2025 as part of the Associació de Concerts de Reus series. The new date strengthens this relationship with the city and the company’s commitment to productions beyond the Palau.
Òpera Popular de Barcelona works with adaptable formats and direct presenter contact so each production can find the right theatre and audience.
