Our interpretation

Puppets, dance, circus, magic and fantasy: a tableau of wonders born anew at every moment.

The opera

Tamino and Papageno enter a world of trials, appearances and discoveries. Through the Queen of the Night, Sarastro and the power of music, Mozart builds a fable about growing, loving and learning to see beyond first impressions.

This is more than a title from the repertoire: it is a staging with an identity of its own, created through Jaume Villanueva’s imagination, inspired by Joaquim Pena’s Catalan translation and produced by Òpera Popular de Barcelona.
